Sad news

Thursday, June 6th, 2013

Following the announcement last Thursday the lab team has a very early form of anti-fungal that seems to work well in lab environments.  A team has spent the last week scouting some areas of interest, armed with tranquilliser style guns loaded with anti-fungal capsules.  Not far from a crossing near Westbury, mid-Wales, we found a train believed to be the same one that Fran, Beth, George, Don, and Andy had been inhabiting. Specimen URAEL

Wednesday, May 29th, 2013

Today the MoIR has published some details on URAEL, not as much as I had originally thought.  I’ve mentioned this before.  URAEL was found just less than two years ago, at site that I can only refer to as Site 13.  URAEL is a male who was found to be both infected and horrifically mutilated, but alive.  We took URAEL to one of our uncompromised labs for research, and to this day he survives.  The fungus that he is, or was, infected with doesn’t seem to affect him in the same way it does others.  I’m no expert on such things, but our researchers have been poking and prodding him to try to find out why, and what he may have in him that stopped him being affected.

Over the past 22 months he has been coming on leaps and bounds.  Surgery has been carried out, allowing him to walk and speak again.  In that time he has told us much about what happened to him, what he remembers, and of course, how he’s feels about all the poking and prodding!  His input, both verbal and medically, has been invaluable.  We are hoping to announce an anti-fungus in the near future, and we can hopefully start clearing up this mess.

URAEL has one thing to say: “I am alive, I am clean.  I hope you are too.”.
To all surviving readers, I say: Be strong, be illustrious, be mighty!

Two years

Monday, May 27th, 2013

It’s been two years since the infection escaped.  Finally the MoIR has decided to publish some of the data it has. I don’t know where it will be published, but I’m hoping to summarise a few details here, just incase anyone is still listening. (more…)

More Information

Monday, December 3rd, 2012

Good evening all,

We want to give you more information about what is currently going on.  You all know the current state of the country, it has been over a year and a half since the infectious fungus spread from a classified location.  Since then we have been sweeping areas of major infection.  We have not been neutralising the infected, we have collected a number of them for testing.  Different infected from different areas exhibit different behaviours, some don’t last long, others longer.

Hopes are looking up.  We have quarantined a number of infected, and one specimen code named ‘URAEL’ from site 13 is proving to be quite responsive, which is surprising due to the amount of flesh damage it appears to have suffered.

Our ask of all of you uninfected is to hold tight, keep your heads down.  We are not over yet.

Monday, August 8th, 2011

It’s a cold, blustery day.  And it’s raining.  I’m sorry, I posted a week ago and haven’t posted since.

These past few weeks have been awful.  About a month ago I posted and said how we’d try and get off the Cambrian, well that didn’t go to well… (more…)
