THE THUMP

Friday, March 2nd, 2012

Right, the first message went out ok. But I’m bored of waiting for a response. If there’s nobody else out there I’ll just tell our story, and if anybody reads it then at least somebody will know of our survival.

My name is Kieran Foster, I’m 27, I live in Telford, and I used to be a freelance illustrator. We’re held up tight at the Brookdale flats in Wellington, which we’ve turned into a stronghold against the hordes. I live with a group of people, some which were friends before, others were people who lived in flats below. Their names are: (more…)

Looks like my question’s been answered. About 10 minutes ago I heard a massive yowl.

I forgot my cat was outside and the bastard just tore her to pieces. šŸ™

I don’t know where this lone zombie has come from, but this is war. Watch this space, I’m going to go and hunt down my air rifle.

Blogging?

Recent events have made me think that it would probably be worthwhile to somehow document my thoughts and daily activities in some way, shape or form. Just in case, y’know. So here’s too hopefully something interesting…

Hello?

Stumbled on this and thought Iā€™d add my 2 cents.Ā  Just like to say to hi to Henry ā€“ Iā€™m clean too mate.Ā  Me and Anne (or should that be Anne and I?) are holed up just south of Luton.Ā  Weā€™re in a first floor flat, and bored out of our minds.

Thereā€™s not much to do but surf the internet at the moment, and hasnā€™t been for a few days.Ā  Thereā€™s only so much of the emergency broadcast you can really watch on BBC One, especially when Doctor Who is supposed to be on.Ā  Grrrā€¦

Donā€™t know about anyone else, but pretty much everything plays a looped message at me at the moment saying to ā€˜stay indoorsā€™.Ā  Iā€™d assume that means that none of the other stations are allowed, or able to broadcast.Ā  Itā€™s a bit of a bastard as without the news Iā€™ve got no real idea of how big this is.

It’s finally here

The ā€œzombie fungusā€ has hit Aberystwyth.Ā  The university ’emergency’ radio station announced about six hours ago.

Weā€™ve been holding up well since the news hit.Ā  We were luckily shopping in Morrisons so could do all the frantic shopping there and then.Ā  We threw all the fresh stuff and concentrated on tins and long life food.

Our flat is on the ground floor up on North road, there is a basement flat with a courtyard directly outside out front window and at the back it drops down into the car park.Ā  The only thing connecting our flat to the rest of the world is the basement that has no stairs, and a ā€œbridgeā€.Ā  Weā€™ve spent the afternoon dismantling the last of that to cut ourselves off.

Iā€™ll keep this updated as things unfold, itā€™s not really hit yet.Ā  Itā€™ll get worse Iā€™m sure.
