I’m surprised the mobile signal is still about. I wonder if it’s being provided by another country now?

A long time - George Lowry
October 10th, 2011 by George Lowry at 7:37 pmIt’s been too long. I can’t remember what has happened in that time. All I can tell you is that I couldn’t get any power to charge this battered iPad. I’ve got some old phones with a bit of charge in each. It’ll do for a while.
I’ve been sleeping in trees, I’ve got like a portable platform that I fold and strap to my back. I’ve been eating bits of tree, my beer belly is now long gone. I’m constantly tired.
I’ve been walking back into Wales. I think. I’ve lost a finger, about a week ago, or maybe two…Time is odd, I’m awake most of the time, looking forwards and backwards. Currently sitting up in a tree in my platform. It’s cold, and very dark already.
I’m worried. Where are the others? Tom, Leo, Jim, you still there?

It’s not safe here anymore either.
My neighbour won’t be wanting his generator back…I heard screams from down there at about 2am. Few shotgun blasts, and a crowscarer going off non-stop.
I went out to have a look at the end of the lane this morning and someone’s car’s blocking the only exit out. So I’m stuck.
No way out. Power…sometimes.
I’ve run chicken-wire across the front of the house and windows. I don’t really know what else to do…
