UPDATE - kieranfoster

March 4th, 2012 by kieranfoster at 1:14 pm

We’re making an emergency outing to the Princess Royal hospital. Nobody has been down that direction yet so we’re not sure how bad it is.

Danny’s head aches got really bad late last night, midday today he collapsed on the floor and is going crazy, thrashing about and making weird noises and being sick and stuff. Mojo reckons he’s turning, but El says it’s something to do with his ears (like an infection or something) that’s screwed his balance. Either way, we’re heading out to grab a load of antibiotics to see if those help. It’s a fairly main road between here and there, no more than a 5 minute drive if we go at a good pace. However, it’s lined with a lot of trees and bushes and stuff. As it’s new territori we’re heading out in a larger group (safety in numbers and all). Tom and Nacho of course, Mojo, Bhanu, Jimbo, and myself. Tom and I on lookout.

We’re leaving Danny in El and Hannah’s care. He’s all wrapped up with plenty of water to drink to replace the fluids he’s lost.

Wish us luck.

Some of the others say I’m wasting my time. I can’t help but feel this is our only way to contact the outside world. What’s going on out there? Is this thing happening all over the place or is it just the UK? Are we alone? Read the rest of this entry »

THE THUMP - kieranfoster

March 2nd, 2012 by kieranfoster at 9:12 am

Right, the first message went out ok. But I’m bored of waiting for a response. If there’s nobody else out there I’ll just tell our story, and if anybody reads it then at least somebody will know of our survival.

My name is Kieran Foster, I’m 27, I live in Telford, and I used to be a freelance illustrator. We’re held up tight at the Brookdale flats in Wellington, which we’ve turned into a stronghold against the hordes. I live with a group of people, some which were friends before, others were people who lived in flats below. Their names are: Read the rest of this entry »

Back on the road - George Lowry

October 26th, 2011 by George Lowry at 11:18 am

The reason for a weeks silence?  I found out what the scraping noise was…It was a family of the infected almost folded into a cupboard, it was grotesque, it was horrific.

I grabbed my bag and ran was I heard them squirm out and bang onto the floor.  It wasn’t until I was a few miles away and safely in a tree with my portable platform, that I began to think about how on earth they ended up they way they had, and how these infected bodies had survived…It certainly explains why there wasn’t much in the area…

My hand is hurting once again.  The skin is greying.  I wonder if I can find a doctor…

Well I’ve been down in the valley the past day or so.  I’ve found some slightly rotten veg in a farm to eat.  when I got back there was a strange scraping coming from upstairs, but I can’t find anything.,..

A comfy night - George Lowry

October 15th, 2011 by George Lowry at 9:13 am

After a night of sleeping here, I might stay a couple of days.  There’s running water (albeit a bit smelly), some tinned food in the cupboards, much better than eating tree…

I’ve been round the area, and can’t find anything to suggest why there’s no wildlife in the area.  There’s a well that I haven’t explored just yet…

The bed was comfy last night.  Not like being slung up in a knobbly, cold tree…

That house - George Lowry

October 14th, 2011 by George Lowry at 11:42 am

Well I’m there!  It took a fair bit longer than  thought, I had to travel up the valley a bit to cross the river, then couldn’t find a decent path up the other side…

It’s scary quiet up here, no wildlife within a mile or so…Whoever was here does have a generator though, so I can charge up iPad and phones…

I think I’ll take a look around.

A little more juice - George Lowry

October 12th, 2011 by George Lowry at 5:25 pm

I can see a house, probably a few hours walk away, over the other side of the valley.  I wonder if it’s got a generator my my iPad…

Right, better post this before this phone really runs out of juice!

I’m lonely…Can you tell?

This is the last of old phones.  I hope I find a generator for the iPad soon…
