Right Back Atcha’

Hi Henry – and Tom,

Leo’s fine.  Stupidly put my full name in when I registered on this site and now it appears every time I post (doh!).  Loving the site though mate – none of the official news sites have had anything up for a few days – so places like this are the only way to really find out what’s happening outside our own front doors.  The post on your shopping trip sounds helpful – we might have to do something simmilar if this doesn’t blow over soon.

Anne says Hello too btw.  She reckons we’re all mental.

Salad and Apples

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Ironically spent last night playing Black Ops Zombies mode online with a few buddies last night.  They’re all stuck the same as me, in a little village about 10 miles up the road.  We usually do a geek night once a week where everyone comes round, drinks beer, eats pizza and plays videogames – so it was nice to have that bit of normality back – even if it is over the net.  Anne sat on the sofa ignoring me yelling into the headset and re-reading her book.  Think I might be able to convince her to have a go at bioshock tomorrow.

A load of police cars drove past the street this afternoon with the lights and sirens going at full blast.  It’s oddly reassuring to know that they’re still out there and kicking arse.  If I was in charge I’d send in the army next to clear the streets.  Can’t imagine this will last much longer now that the government have pulled their finger out.  Good thing too, we’re nearly out rocket salad and apples.

Can’t survive a Zombie apocalypse without salad and apples.  Glad it’s nearly over.

I’ve been reading Henry’s posts.  Sounds pretty shitty up your way – I think we’re a day or so behind.

It’s been a busy couple of days for us too.  The street is half empty at the moment – as half the people have packed up and left.  Next door said they were going to get the Eurostar and camp out in France until all this blows over.  They set off yesterday and promised they’d drop me an email when they arrived.  I’m still waiting for it.

We’re staying here.  The train’s aren’t running up our way – so there’s no guarantee they’ll be running in Dover, or even London for that matter, and with the Garages shut we don’t have enough petrol to make a round trip of it.  Who’s to say its any better there?

Hello?

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Stumbled on this and thought I’d add my 2 cents.  Just like to say to hi to Henry – I’m clean too mate.  Me and Anne (or should that be Anne and I?) are holed up just south of Luton.  We’re in a first floor flat, and bored out of our minds.

There’s not much to do but surf the internet at the moment, and hasn’t been for a few days.  There’s only so much of the emergency broadcast you can really watch on BBC One, especially when Doctor Who is supposed to be on.  Grrr…

Don’t know about anyone else, but pretty much everything plays a looped message at me at the moment saying to ‘stay indoors’.  I’d assume that means that none of the other stations are allowed, or able to broadcast.  It’s a bit of a bastard as without the news I’ve got no real idea of how big this is.
